Japanese Cherry tree blossoms around the National Mall in Washington D.C. are blooming earlier than usual due to the warmer weather moving in.
Officials are concerned that crowds flocking to see the sights will grow too large, and warn that if that happens the Cherry Blossom trees will be closed off to the public to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
The trees were gifted in 1912 to Washington D.C. by Tokyo Mayor Yukio Ozaki.
Tens of thousands of daily visitors flock to the Tidal Basin every year to view the blossoms.
