IMF Director on China's role in boosting global economy

In a speech ahead of the annual IMF, World Bank Spring meetings, IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva laid out some of the key priorities for 2021. 

Speaking to CGTN, she talked about how China's estimated growth of over 6 percent could help fuel the recovery of the global economy.


The IMF chief is focusing on key goals for her organization in 2021 as well as China's role in Africa's economic recovery.


She urged various governments to invest in greener, smarter economies and reduce their dependence on fossil fuels.
