Venezuela faces shortages of COVID-19 vaccines

The Venezuelan government has reported a sharp rise in the number of COVID-19 cases with nearly 1,350 new infections reported on Wednesday, and 13 deaths. The numbers remain low relative to other countries in the region, but there is concern a second wave is underway. Venezuela has yet to start a mass vaccination program.
