Check out this conversation with two of the main women behind the new TV series “Kung Fu,” airing this week in the U.S. It’s not what you expect.

Kung Fu is inspired by the 1972 TV series of the same name with some twists. The lead character is a woman, who while visiting China, learns Shaolin values and martial arts and then uses them when she returns to the U.S.   

The majority of the cast, the executive producer and 5 writers are of Asian descent.
