A 3,000-year-old city has been uncovered in the sands of Egypt, and is being considered by archeologists as one of the most important finds since the tomb of King Tutankhamun.   

The “lost golden city” was discovered near Luxor, Egyptologist Zahi Hawass announced Thursday.  Known as Aten, it is the largest ancient city ever uncovered in Egypt, and dates to the reign of Amenhotep III, who ruled from 1391 to 1253 BCE.
