Volunteers fight against COVID-19 in Brazil

The pandemic has created tremendous challenges for Brazil’s health care system. So the state of Sao Paulo created a ‘Volunteers Registry’ ​early on - to find people willing to help frontline teams. ​

To date, about 1,300 people have registered and 300 of them have been placed in public hospitals around the state.
