Brazil’s Landless Workers Movement is a leftist social movement that pushes agrarian reform through land occupation and expropriation.
Known by its Portuguese acronym MST, it's fostered ties with Cuba since the 1980s. One of its programs sends sons and daughters of militants to study medicine in Cuba, with Cuban sponsored scholarships.
Dr. Lucas Lima is among Brazilian physicians trained through the program and shared his story with CGTN.
