With April being Brazil’s deadliest month yet, the country surpassed 400,000 deaths from on Thursday.

Health experts fear a third virus wave is coming. In a live social media broadcast, President Jair Bolsonaro acknowledged the COVID-19 deaths but held his ground on avoiding lockdowns and containment guidelines. Vaccination rollout has also significantly slowed.
