Cases of the coronavirus have continued to surge in India, impacting an already devastated healthcare system. While it is one of the world’s biggest, many parts of India’s healthcare infrastructure still lack the funding to the fight the pandemic and other health issues. 

Healthcare workers on the frontline have been facing as much of difficult struggle during the surge.

Dr. Anant Bahn, Adjunct Professor at Yenepoya University in Southern India, discusses the situation for healthcare workers and what is needed to curb the surge of the virus.
