The U.K. Royal Navy and the Marines are testing out jet packs designed by developer Gravity Industries in the U.K.
They performed a boarding operation on a moving ship. A marine in the jet suit flies and lands on the ship ahead of the other troops without they would need a helicopter to descend on the boat one by one, which is slower and makes them more vulnerable.
The company says that the suit offers rapid access to locate targets in many circumstances.
It has been tested by paramedics in a remote region to get to people in need faster than in a car or by foot.
