Peru – which has had the world's highest number of deaths per capita - could be turning a corner thanks to its vaccinations program. 

Officially, the country has suffered more than 1.9 million COVID-19 cases and more than 67,000 deaths. 

April was the deadliest month since the pandemic began, as CGTN's Dan Collyns reports from Lima.
