Marking one year since George Floyd, an unarmed Black man, was killed at the hands of ex-Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, many in the U.S. are demanding change within their police departments and government.

Some police departments have banned chokeholds but an important piece of national legislation is stalled in U.S. Congress.
