Brazil is considered to be the most biologically diverse country in the world and while the coronavirus pandemic continues to hit hard, Rio de Janeiro has at least something to celebrate on this year’s International Day for Biological diversity. 

Closed since 2019 for a17-million-dollar renovation, the city’s zoo has reopened with a new concept and a new name.
