Brazil reports spike in child COVID deaths and infections

More than 454,000 Brazilians have died from COVID-19 since the pandemic hit Latin America’s biggest country last year. 

At first, it was the elderly population that suffered the most. Now, scientists are worried about the children as new variants emerge.
