At least 24 states led by Republicans are canceling the additional $300 a month in federal unemployment benefits meant to help struggling Americans during the pandemic.
They claim the extra funds are keeping people from trying to find work, as businesses are struggling to hire staff.
Economists have mixed views on the issue.
