The intersection where George Floyd was murdered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, was briefly reopened by city employees and faced pushback from some in the community.
People created makeshift barriers to keep the city and cars away from George Floyd Square, where art and flowers commemoralizing Floyd and others are on display.
Mayor Jacob Frey says there is no firm timeframe for a full reopening of the intersection and the area will never have "tires run over it again."
