Schools in the Navajo Nation attempt to reopen following pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic severely hit the Navajo Nation since last year. Not only has the virus impacted its healthcare system, but also daily life on the reservation. 

The impact of the pandemic can still be seen everywhere even as the Navajo Nation moves slowly towards reopening.  

Last month, restrictions were eased for most businesses to allow 50 percent maximum occupancy, but the mask mandate in public remains in effect, while all tribal parks are closed to visitors until further notice.

And one consistent issue for the leaders here is the lack of reliable infrastructure.
