The U.S. travel industry is rebounding as the pandemic has eased. People are once again flying, driving, booking hotels and adventures -- but for the cruise industry, resuming operations is still a struggle.

Mass infections at sea led to the ships being docked last year, and strict federal rules were imposed for restarting operations. But that policy is being challenged by Florida's governor, complicating cruise line plans.

Meanwhile, some American passengers set sail this weekend for the first time in 15 months from a foreign port.

CGTN’s Nitza Soledad Perez has the story.
