Global utility company investing heavily in Brazil’s favelas

Brazil’s subsidiary of China’s State Grid Corporation, the world’s largest utility company, has been investing heavily in the country’s power distribution, but also in social development.

More than a year into the pandemic, one of the company’s key social projects – a symphony orchestra from one of Rio de Janeiro’s biggest favelas – is performing in a unique way.
