World leaders, big names and familiar faces arrived and gathered in Cornwall in the UK Thursday ahead of the three day G-7 Leaders Summit, which will begin on Friday.  Climate, trade, and recovery from the coronavirus is expected to be discussed. The G-7 is made up of the UK, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the U.S.

The EU also sends the presidents of the European Commission and the European Council. This year, Australia, India, and South Korea will attend as guest countries “to deepen the expertise and experience around the table,” according to the UK government.

Climate activists in Cornwall have been demonstrating all week ahead of the arrival of the G-7 leaders. The group Extinction Rebellion and other groups are planning a series of protests throughout Europe to draw attention to the growing climate crisis.
