The father of Brazilian news anchor Joana Treptow, Bruno Treptow, is among the survivors of the building collapsed in Miami.

She heard the news about the collapse directly from him when he managed to reach her – through her husband's phone - early in the morning on Thursday.

So far, 159 people are still unaccounted for by officials.

She spoke about her reaction to the news and how her father is doing following the disaster.
