Foreign ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) made a joint statement about Afghanistan.

Here are the highlights:

The SCO supports Afghanistan to become an independent country with no terrorism, war or drugs.

The SCO believes Afghanistan’s stability is a key factor for the security of the SCO members.

The SCO will help Afghans rebuild their homes and achieve reconciliation under SCO takes the “Afghans led, Afghans owned” framework as the only way to peace in the country.

The SCO hopes all relevant countries and international organizations to help achieve Afghanistan stability under the UN framework.SCO members include China, Russia, India, Pakistan and the five Central Asian countries.
