The body of Haitian President Jovenel Moïse was laid to rest on Friday, two weeks after his assassination in his private residence in Port-au-Prince.
While officials and diplomats attended the funeral in Cap-Haitien, in northern Haiti, thousands held protests and rallies demanding accountability for the president’s death.
More than 20 people have been arrested by authorities, including two Haitian Americans and several former Colombian soldiers.
