Muslims around the world participated in the last day of the Eid al-Adha holiday Thursday with prayers and celebrations, commemorating Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son for God.  Cattle, goats, camels and sheep are traditionally slaughtered on the holiest day.

The “Feast of Sacrifice” marks the end of the annual pilgrimage or Hajj to the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia.
