A giant wall of sand approached and engulfed a city in northwestern China. The video was filmed in Guazhou County in Gansu Province on July 25. The speed of the wind reached nearly 40mph (65kph) and the visibility was less than 50 meters.
The local meteorological observatory issued a yellow warning signal (the weakest) for the sandstorm.
