A COVID-19 outbreak that first started in the airport of the Chinese city of Nanjing is thought to have spread to five provinces, including Beijing, with almost 200 people reported to be infected since July 20.

All flights from Nanjing have been suspended until August 11.

City-wide testing is taking place for all of Nanjing’s 9.3 million residents in an effort to contain the spread of the highly contagious Delta variant, thought to be behind the outbreak.
