The number of daily COVID-19 cases in Cuba has tripled over the past few weeks and deaths are spiking to new record highs. On top of that, Cubans are facing serious shortages on basic goods and medicine. 

Several nations have responded with donations. The question many are asking now is whether Cuba reopened too soon.
