An unprecedented number of wildfires have ravaged forests in North America and across Southern Europe this summer. The Dixie Fire burning California has caused major issues for firefighters, with its rapid rate of destruction.

In Greece, 586 wildfires are burning as the country, like most of Europe, has faced an extreme heatwave. 

Italy is also seeing a major heatwave, as firefighters deal with blazes throughout Sicily.
