The COVID-19 pandemic had a major impact on the livelihood of musicians around the world, halting tour schedules and closing live venues.

As the pandemic recedes in parts of the U.S., some artists are attempting to make a return to the stage. 

But with the Delta variant spiraling out of control in states like Mississippi, and with few options for people to maintain a safety net if they get sick, many are worried about their professional future.
