Examining the U.N.'s landmark anti-terrorism resolution 20 years later

In the days following the 9/11 attacks in the U.S., the United Nations Security Council responded by passing landmark anti-terrorism legislation. 

In the twenty years since then, the U.N.’s focus on counterterrorism has continued to grow. But legal grey areas continue within the organization’s approach. 

And it now faces a new challenge to prevent the spread of terrorism in Afghanistan.
