As crews continue to work toward restoring power in Louisiana after Hurricane Ida, officers are rescuing animals, neighbors are holding cookouts to help feed each other and supplies like gasoline and other items can still be hard to come by.

Many are attempting to cleanup and rebuild.

Residents in the U.S. northeast are also cleaning up after flash floods swept through the region, caused by Ida dumping record amounts of rain.

People are lining the streets with damaged belongings and wiping mud from inside their homes.
