UNESCO declares Peru's Chankillo as world heritage site

The Chankillo Astronomical Complex, a 2,300 year-old archeological site in Peru, is believed to be the oldest solar observatory in the Americas. In July, UNESCO awarded it World Heritage Status, along with 12 other global sites.
