The island state of Hawaii began a gradual reopening this spring.

But now it's imposed new restrictions following a surge of the Delta coronavirus variant.

Several of its hospitals set up field hospitals after they began to run out of beds in their Intensive Care Units. Now experts warn the numbers could continue to rise following increased travel over the past holiday weekend.
