Venezuela’s informal economy is growing.  

The country is pivoting away from brick and mortar retail, towards informal, unregulated commerce.  

A deep economic crisis in addition to the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in the closure of many stores and a dramatic rise in unemployment.
