Pentagon observance ceremony on 20th anniversary of 9/11 attacks

The American flag was unfurled at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. Saturday morning at sunrise, on the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks.

U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Joint Chiefs Chairman General Mark Milley spoke during an observance ceremony at the Pentagon Saturday.

The National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial, opened in 2008 adjacent to the site, commemorates the lives lost at the Pentagon and onboard American Airlines Flight 77.
