Automakers presented new vehicle concepts and almost exclusively zero- or low-emission vehicles, including fully electric luxury concept cars, at this year's Munich Auto Show, the first major motor industry event since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Several thousand protesters demonstrated against the event saying they wanted a deeper, more meaningful change, including in politics, than the motor industry's propagated ideas of transformation.
