The rally in support of jailed Capitol rioters in Washington D.C. on Saturday ended up being a small gathering with little incident.
Police and journalists outnumbered the number that came out, but rally organizers said they accomplished their goal in raising awareness of who they call "political prisoners" - people still in jail for their participate in the Jan. 6 riot on the U.S. Capitol building.
Temporary fencing had gone up around the Capitol and local police and the U.S. National Guard were on standby.
One man was seen being taken into custody by police.
CGTN's Mahvish Khan and Phoebe Follosco interviewed rally organizer and former Trump campaign staff Matt Braynard at the conclusion of the rally.
Braynard has also served as a paid "expert witness" in Trump's challenges of the 2020 election results, the Washington Post reports.
