Thousands of Haitian migrants at the Mexico-Texas border are in an increasingly tight position as the United States government is ramping up flights to Haiti and Mexico to expel migrants away from the border.
Many of the Haitian immigrants now at the border between the U.S. and Mexico are believed to have been living in South America after the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, but the toll of the COVID-19 pandemic on South America has driven them to the U.S. border.
