Another round of battle is underway in the COVID-19 fight pitting Florida Governor Ron DeSantis ​against U.S. President Joe Biden. ​

While Biden argues public health mandates are critical to saving lives - DeSantis calls them government overreach. ​

Their faceoff comes as Florida tries to recover from a summer surge in COVID cases. ​Overall, the ​state has reported more than 3.5 million cases and more than 50,000 deaths since the pandemic began.
