Inflation is on the rise in Brazil, touching double digits for the first time since 2016.

A severe drought affecting food and electricity production and a weakened currency are among the factors that have caused price spikes for fuel and food.

And if millions of Brazilians are feeling the pinch in their pockets, drivers for e-ride app services have been particularly hard hit.
