Chinese Ambassador to the U.S. Qin Gang: My job in the U.S. is to shorten the "running in" period for China-U.S. relations. 

He said some Americans already realized that the U.S. had mistakenly provoked a conflict with China and want the relations to be back to normal. 

"It takes some time for the 'running in' before this relations stabilize. That's what diplomacy is all about, and my work is to ensure this period lasts shorter and more smoothly." Qin told CGTN in an exclusive interview.
