Large oil spill ruins beaches on Southern California coast
CGTN

The coast of California is facing one of the largest oil spills in recent history, caused by a leak in an underwater pipeline over the weekend.

Clean-up crews have been dispatched to deal with the crude oil that flowed onto the shores of Huntington Beach and stop the environmental damage.

An estimated 126,000 gallons of heavy crude leaked into the waters near Orange County over the weekend, before the pipeline was shut down Saturday night.

Authorities warn that the oil will likely wash up on other shores and affect neighboring communities for the next several days.
