Crews are still working to clean up a major oil spill off the coast of Southern California which fouled popular beaches and killed wildlife.

Some say weather conditions and quick-moving actions have spared sensitive wetlands in California's Huntington Beach from a potentially calamitous fate, though the long-term toll of the spill remains unknown.
