Italians demonstrate against 'Green Pass' health screening system
Italians are protesting the government's introduction of a health screening system known as "GreenPass" in Rome. Beginning Oct. 15, all public and private workers must have a digital COVID-19 health certificate, or face fines and lose employment.
Demonstrators say the system impleads their freedoms.
Italy and other governments with similar systems say the certificate is needed to prevent more deaths from the pandemic and is a necessary step in confronting this health emergency.
