Madagascar facing disastrous “climate change famine”

Several United Nations agencies are warning that the climate crisis is exacerbating the famine in Madagascar.  Half a million children are acutely malnourished, while the southern region requires emergency food aid.

Rainfall patterns are growing more erratic, making food growth and production more difficult for the island’s population. Here are some of the latest scenes.
