Drone footage captured by Spain’s Geology and Mining Institute, shows large blocks of red, hot lava flowing down the hillside from La Palma volcano, on a Spanish island, which erupted a month earlier in mid-September.

The lava’s temperature hit as high as 1,240 degrees Celsius (2,264 degrees Fahrenheit), while consuming around 500 hectares of land. Take a look.
