Nearly two weeks after confirmation of an oil spill led to the closure of several beaches in Southern California, some reopened to visitors this week.
But many businesses that rely on the beach and the ocean have suffered significant losses and their economic recovery could take much longer.
As state and federal officials have launched an investigation into the incident, local residents are demanding accountability and compensation.
