Athletes are continuing their preparations ahead of the Beijing Winter Olympics in February. 

The U.S. short track speed skating team will soon get a taste of what to expect. The U.S. team, made up of 10 skaters, is set to compete at a World Cup series event in Beijing next week. 

But the focus remains on earning an Olympic spot.
