World Food Day is celebrated internationally on Saturday October 16 to commemorate the founding of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization in 1945, and bring awareness to hunger and food insecurity in the world.
The World Food Day 2021 theme is “Safe food now for a healthy tomorrow”.
The day encourages thoughtfulness for the food we consume and how it affects our health and the health of the planet.
