Thousands of migrant workers in Kashmir were moved to safer locations by Indian authorities after targeted attacks on civilians. Hundreds of others have fled into the Himalayan Valley.

Authorities say suspected militants have killed 11 people so far, including five migrant workers, reports CNN.  They say these attacks appear to target non-Kashmiris. Security forces have intensified patrolling.
